By using solar energy, we are reducing our carbon footprint and becoming an even more environmentally friendly company. At the same time, we are contributing to the promotion of sustainable development and the economy at the regional level. We are happy to announce that we started to work on the construction of a new solar power plant.
In phase I. we will replace the entire roof of our production building, in phase II., we will install a new solar power plant with a projected production of electricity 471.300 kWh per year. More info will follow.

The Association of Paraplegics of Slovenia, in the co-organization of the Association of Paraplegics of Istria and the Karst and the Association of Disabled Sports of Slovenia, organised the 53rd Hrovatin memorial with the 32nd national championship and the 8th international competition, where seven countries participated. The comptetition took place on Saturday 10.09.2022 in Koper at the Bonifika stadion.

On Friday, September 2nd, 2022, we were presenting our innovative greencath® label and other @TIK d.o.o. medical devices in Maribor, at "IV. pediatric nephrology school meeting". The main topic was prevention and treatment of chronic kidney disease.
In order to present and receive feedback about our pediatric catheters and urine bags, we set up small exhibition area between the entrance and the large hall (table with greencath® products, billboard). Presentations to participants (mostly doctors and nurses from pediatric clinics, children's surgery, general hospitals and medical clinics and representatives of the medical faculty) took place during breaks between lectures.
TIK d.o.o. was pleasantly surprised last week by the Letter of thanks of the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia for the immediate donation of disposable medical devices that TIK d.o.o. donated to Ukraine.
Disposable medical devices manufactured by TIK d.o.o., are indispensable for the operation of the emergency medical aid system also in a war situation. We believe that our donation has contributed also to new hope.

On Sunday, June 19, with the help of our ambassador, Mičo, a presentation of TIK's greencath® urine catheters took place in Kranj.
The presentation took place at a picnic of the Association of Paraplegics of Gorenjska. Among the members who filled out the questionnaires, we drew a winner who received a ticket to visit Postojna Cave.
The members of the association also expressed their desire to see our production facility in Kobarid, as they are of the opinion that we must support Slovenian products and Slovenian production in the field of medical devices.

Yesterday, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, North Primorska Chamber of Commerce Nova Gorica, presented awards to the best innovators in the region. More than 56 innovators and 8 groups with 19 innovations took part in this year's tender. 5 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze medals were awarded.
TIK was also enrolled to this tender, for the fourth time in a row. We received a silver award for the innovation: "Automation of the production process for production of aspiration/suction catheter".
The existing process of catheters production in the past was based on the principle of mostly manual production. The new assembly line contains a number of innovative solutions in the field of assembly and quality control and combines the production of complete catheters in one place. For the fourth time in a row, we applied for the (regional/national) competition for awards for innovation. This year's innovation is:
"Automation of the production process of aspiration catheter production"
The main goal of the innovation was to combine all assembly operations into one, to enable the production of different types of catheters with different connections, to integrate a series of 100% control operations, to eliminate intermediate stocks, to reduce electricity consumption and reduce the number of working hours per unit of product.
We succeeded in this by producing an excellent assembly line, which is also distinguished by its exceptional flexibility and sustainable orientation. The line is installed in a new clean room, which received a bronze medal in last year's inovation tender.
The manufacturer of the line is slovenian company, while the investment was co-financed by SPIRIT....
On wednesday, the 23th of March, Alen Jazbec successfuly presented TIK's Greencath urethral cathethers on the members' meeting of the Ljubljana region Association of paraplegics. Mičo Ostojič, our long-term satisfied customer, helped Alen with the presentation and gathering of customer feedback.

The Koper, Postojna and Nova Gorica Regional Chambers of Commerce presented awards to the best innovators from all three regions at a joint event in Hit Perla on Monday, 20 September 2021. More than 180 innovators with 45 innovations participated in the tender of all three chambers. On the last Saturday in February, TIK employees spent a relaxing trip to Postojna. Postojna Cave is the most visited and most magnificent cave in Slovenia, and according to most it is also one of the most beautiful caves in the world. First we went to the world-famous cave by train, where the underground karst tunnels and galleries intertwine. Postojna Cave is the only karst cave with a cave railway that has been running to see stalactites and stalagmites for 140 years. We also visited part of the tour of the magical cave on foot, along beautifully landscaped and undemanding paths. The river Pivka flows through it, forming the interior of the cave for almost two million years. In an hour and a half guided tour, we got to know all the most important karst features: the largest, as high as 5 meters, the stalactite Briljant, the oldest underground post office in the world and the most famous underground animal - the human fish. Motorcyclists with golden hearts and wings in memory of Jani Trdina. TIK Kobarid was the proud sponsor of the eighth meeting with the Gold Wing Motorcyclists, organized by the Gold Wing Slovenia Association and the Gorenjska Paraplegic Society, which was dedicated to the main initiator and organizer of motorcycle trips and a member of the Gorenjska Paraplegic Society Jani Trdina. This year, the traditional “Sausaging” event took place in Kobarid. The meeting was organized by TIK Kobarid and The Paraplegics Society of the North Primorska Region in spite of bad weather, combining the pleasant with the useful. First, we were greeted by the chairwoman Petra Borovinšek, followed by a short presentation of our product line of the greencath® catheters with water bags. After the presentation, the cyclists followed the planned route towards Tolmin. On Friday, October 12, 2018, a team meeting took place at the company in the morning. The meeting was attended by technology, control and management staff, as well as by our outsourcer in charge of promoting the sale of greencath® products on the Slovenian market. The key purpose of the meeting was to share information on the new greencath® catheters. Mr. Starič presented information from his field summarized on the basis of his regular visits to the market, and brought with him competing products currently offered on the Slovenian market. This year the conference took place from October 12 to 13, 2018, in the town of Linz. It was traditionally attended by physicians, physical therapists, pharmacists, medical nurses, gynaecological nurses and other specialists from the field of urology. Medical students who, on their own initiative, raise money and travel to underdeveloped tropical countries and provide medical assistance to residents there, are rare in the world. Medical expeditions to Africa have a long tradition in our country and students are happy to attend them, as they gain invaluable experience despite the hard work they do there in three months.
Students from the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, Karmen Zrnec, Lara Petrič, Aljaž Bajc, Loreta Jerič and Timotej Brecelj are heading for one of this year's humanitarian expeditions under the auspices of the Section for Tropical and Travel Medicine at the Slovenian Medical Association. At the end of June, representatives of the multinational Teleflex Medical, Italy, visited the TIK d.o.o. company. In total, there were 25 company representatives, including the CEO and most of the sales managers. Teleflex Medical is a worldwide provider of specialized medical devices designed to improve the quality of life and health of people. Their portfolio is very diverse and the solutions in the field of vascular and intervention access, respiratory care and surgical, anesthesiology and urology therapies are among the most recognizable of their devices. In the introductory section, there was a business forum entitled "Keeping Pace with Industry 4.0" and the most important event was the award ceremony for the best innovators in the region in 2018. For this year's tender, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the North Primorska region received a total of 13 innovations from companies and institutions in the region. A jury of experts evaluated them and selected the winners of this year's gold, silver and bronze awards for innovations in the region. This year, the Kobarid company TIK d.o.o. submitted its application for the first time. For the project, on which we worked together with the Hidria TC Competence Industrial Automation Koper Centre, we received a silver award for innovation, i.e. for a new, unique line for wetting and drying urinary catheters with a UV coating. As a leading partner of the consortium, the Posočje Development Centre Region successfully applied in July 2016 for the public tender "Acquisition of Basic and Professional Competencies 2016 - 2019". The action, which runs from 2016 to 2019, is co-financed by the European Social Fund Ministry of Education, Science and Sport and is aimed at employees over 45 years of age with a lower level of education. Within the framework of this project, 24 participants will be offered a range of free training courses, which serve the development of basic and specialist competences. After a six-month delay in the production of the line, the eagerly awaited wetting TIK line of catheters was procured and installed at the beginning of March 2018. The line, which is the result of the domestic knowledge of the engineers in the company and designers of Slovenian machine manufacturer, is manufactured according to established modern production guidelines, which meet all the requirements of medical production and high safety standards. After commissioning and testing, the necessary validation processes according to the standard ISO 13485 will follow. We plan to start regular production by the end of June. The new wetting line will allow us to build a new line of catheters for self-catheterization. The new products with a new coating and user-friendly packaging will have all the features that users of such products are looking for and will see as an advantage for use.
