01. July 2018

ESHRE is the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and the largest professional association of reproductive medicine in the world. Currently, it has about 10,000 members from all European countries.
The main goal of the society is to promote the development of science and clinical practice in reproductive medicine and embryology for treating infertility with biomedical fertilization procedures (in vitro fertilization, IVF).
The annual congress organized by ESHRE is held in one of the European capitals and is intended for the professional public and the industry with an opportunity to present the latest techniques and products related to IVF.

The 34th meeting of ESHRE this year took place in Barcelona from the 1st to the 4th of July 2018. Various IVF-related seminars and workshops were held during the course of the congress intended predominantly for gynaecologists and embryologists from all over the world specializing in in vitro fertilization using state of the art medical procedures and innovations.
For many years now, TIK d.o.o. has been manufacturing a special follicle aspiration needle for ultrasound-guided transvaginal ovarian cell aspiration from the follicles, which was developed in cooperation with experts from this field. This year, the congress was also attended by dr. Tatjana Smrekar, our head of sales.
The purpose of the meeting was to meet with all customers and potentially establish new business connections. For a manufacturer like TIK, it is crucial that we keep up to date with all the achievements in the field of IVF. At the same time, at TIK we are aware of the importance of being present at such an important event that contributes to the strengthening of the TIK brand, widening the customer base and ensuring the satisfaction of existing customers.
