Yesterday, the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, North Primorska Chamber of Commerce Nova Gorica, presented awards to the best innovators in the region. More than 56 innovators and 8 groups with 19 innovations took part in this year’s tender. 5 gold, 11 silver and 3 bronze medals were awarded.
TIK was also enrolled to this tender, for the fourth time in a row. We received a silver award for the innovation: “Automation of the production process for production of aspiration/suction catheter”.
The existing process of catheters production in the past was based on the principle of mostly manual production. The new assembly line contains a number of innovative solutions in the field of assembly and quality control and combines the production of complete catheters in one place. At the same time, it represents the rationalization of work, eliminates intermediate stocks, minimizes the operator’s contact with the product, introduces modern 100% product quality inspection, and thereby increasing the competitiveness of TIK’s products in the medical device market.
Tomaž Černilogar, Aleksander Ivančič, Albert Kurinčič and Miran Sovdat received the award in the name of TIK.
