Paraplegics and tetraplegics from all nine provincial societies of the Slovenian Paraplegics Association gathered together on June 15th for the third pan-Slovenian meeting in Vransko. The proud sponsor of the event was TIK d.o.o.!
The central meeting was held in the Vrana multi-purpose hall, where the cultural program presenter Aleš Sečnik (a member of the DP of the Ljubljana province) said of the jubilee: “We have gathered here today to mark this jubilee, commemorating five decades of memories and successes, and also some bitter moments that lose significance in the moment of celebration. As it should!”
The President of the Association, Dane Kastelic, in his welcome address, mentioned that the Slovenian Paraplegics Association is one of the most creative and successful representative organizations of persons with disabilities in Slovenia and that paraplegics have a successful and exemplary practice in the development strategy of disability care, which, together with nine local societies, they implement at the national and local levels. The pan-Slovenian meeting was enlivened by a dance performance by para-dancer Nino Batagelj (a member of the DP of the Ljubljana province) and co-dancer Sara Štirn, followed by a dance the Vransko Folklore Society. This year’s moderator Aleš Sečnik surprised us with a stand-up comedy performance.
At the event, TIK d.o.o. presented itself with hydrophilic catheters and gift bags containing samples and questionnaires. Among all the completed questionnaires, we drew a lucky winner who received a Samsung tablet.
